Born in Liverpool in 1951, Bill attended Nottingham College of Art and received a BA Hons in Fine Art. After studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education , he began teaching in 1974. During a teaching career spanning over 40 years, he has taught art to all age groups in different educational systems around the world.

Through teaching he has been able to live and work in the Bahamas and then in Switzerland, which has now become home. Whilst in the Bahamas he relished the opportunity to take a break from teaching and concentrate his efforts on his art, holding 3 successful exhibitions and fulfilling many varied commissions. Currently he is able to re-focus on his personal art.

He works in two and three-dimensions. Two dimensional works include water colours, acrylics, oils, coloured inks, and pen and ink. Three-dimensional works range from bronzes to sculptures made from recycled cardboard. Subject matter includes landscapes and town-scapes, marine and plant life.

Bill lives in Switzerland with his family, and will consider any requests for commissions, in any media or any size.
